Day by Day

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith L Pierce

I love paper and books and calendars.  I get so excited starting the new year with a new calendar or journal.

I have limited space to hang a calendar so I went with this pocket calendar.  It fits perfectly over my desk just off the kitchen.  I can tuck in coupons or mail or any little thing needed to remind me of what needs to be done.

I've seen pocket calendars at Barnes and Noble but I chose this one I found at Costco.

It comes with a matching small planner and a bunch of cute notepads.  B & N sells the calendar alone but I love the little extras that came with the Costco one.

January's little bird makes me smile!

What is on your January calendar page?

  2. Mrs Erica on You Tube shared a really neat planner from Costco. I have asked one of my friends who is a member to look for it for me.

    1. Hi Arlene. I'm not sure who Mrs Erica is. If you'd like, I will check my Costco if your friend can't find it for you.

  3. Hi!

I need to better at calendaring and planning with a planner. When I worked, it was second nature, now that I have retired, it's like it got left behind on my work desk! I love your calendar, and like you I don't have much space to hang one where I would look at it. This is definitely food for thought - I'm sure I'd get more done if I used a planner... :0)

    1. Barb, I can feel your pain! I have a small planner and a larger planner plus the calendar and I start out great guns in the beginning of the new year but then I run out of steam. xo

  4. Hi Gina, this reminds me that I have to buy a pretty calendar for the year. I always get one or two 'freebies' from various businesses, but they are usually really plain and boring. I really like yours. Costco is building a new store near me soon - I can't wait! The nearest one now is 45 min. away. Thank you for your kind visits :) Sorry your WP blog didn't work out. Computers are a real mystery to me.......Most everything I do on them is a lucky guess! haha! Sending hugs xo Karen

    1. Karen, you will love Costco. Years ago, when we lived in San Diego, we joined Price Club which later became Costco. When we moved to NJ, there was no Costco for a few years and then they built one - I was thrilled! I am happy that there is one in the big city - it's about 30 minutes or so away. We go about twice a month.

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
