Today's the Day!

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. ~John Quincy Adams

Inauguration Day!

I don't remember the last time I watched all the inauguration ceremony and events.  Today's was refreshing and hopeful.

Melania looked absolutely gorgeous.  She reminded me so much of Jackie O.  So graceful and classy.  Loved her jacket/dress (and gloves)!

Seeing President Trump signing all the papers with the different pens was interesting.  The grandchildren behaved very well ~ although the little blonde boy was sticking out his tongue.  That didn't last long and he was ushered toward the back by his father. Too funny!

I'm excited to see the parade down Pennsylvania Avenue (which will soon begin). May God bless President Trump and Vice President Pence and keep them and their families safe.

  1. Agree with all your observations Gina. I missed the parade as I had some chores to do but I thought the day went well.

    1. Arlene, the parade lasted longer than I thought. I'm tired from just watching ~ I can imagine how tired the first family must be!

    1. Marilyn, me too - though I'm hoping for eight years instead of four.

  4. It was a very interesting day, I would have to say I loved Ivanka's dress, so fairy tale like, my favorite of the whole day. Neat that they were able to come out with him at the different balls. That was such a long day, don't know how it does it all at that age. Praying God guides him and all those around him.

    1. Connie, I love her dress too. I don't know how they did it all with the swearing in, lunch, parade, and then the balls. Maybe lots of coffee!

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
