Saturday Night

Middle age is when you're sitting at home on a Saturday night and the telephone rings and you hope it isn't for you.

  1. I do hope that you and your husband had a successful trip to the city to find a new stove/oven for you.

  2. Dear Gina,

Happy February! I love the quote by Ogden Nash- I think I've been "middle-aged" all my life! :)

  3. Ordinary days are best, the ones where you can just kick back and relax! :)

  4. We're a little past middle age but ours rings at dinner time pretty often and we don't even attempt to answer it. They can leave a message if it's a real person...which it usually isn't. How times have changed! Hugs!

    1. Diane, my phone is muted during dinner. And isn't it the truth that there are so many spam callers! Ugh!

    1. Me either Connie until I found it online. I rarely answer the phone unless I know who is calling. If it is important, they will leave a message. :-)

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
