A Peek Into My Week

On Tuesday, I mentioned my new journaling/scrapbooking project.  Here are a few peeks into my week.

Yesterday, I needed a reminder that I need to take things one day at a time. Wednesday was my first day of physical therapy for my arm. It wasn't too rough but boy my arm was sore for days!
Wednesday was the first of March. Lots to do and an important thought to ponder.

After my physical therapy, my sweet husband and I went to dinner.  Then off to the market to pick up some groceries.  I haven't been able to drive for a week since I hurt my arm.  So when in town ~ time to get things done!

I haven't charted my day for today yet. My husband and I were gone most of the day. I had my yearly physical in the big city and then we popped into Costco.

I am going to choose a big YOO HOO sticker for today. I've lost 2 lbs since my last visit. I know 2 lbs doesn't sound like a lot but at my age, any weight loss is a victory! Experts say that decreases in metabolism mean that women gain an average of 10 pounds around menopause. Oh bother!

Little by little the pounds are coming off.  Still a big YOO HOO... and other than my arm, I am as healthy as can be.

Care to share a bit about your week? ♥

  1. I'm sorry that your arm hurt so much after physical therapy. That bothers me. How often do you go for therapy?

YAY for that two pounds you lost. I've lost the same amount over the last week! I still have plenty to lose, but I am choosing to focus on the positive.

I hope you have a good weekend, Gina. Please take care.

    1. I've just been once, Dianna. I'm not terribly impressed with the man that worked me over. I'm better today.

  3. Congrats on the weight loss, yes I know how hard it is to lose weight now, but I guess I always had that trouble. Hope the therapy continues to help improve your arm.
I had a week of watching my daughter's cat, it has been nice to have a pet in the house once again, but I will be happy to have a good night's sleep without being woke up.

    1. Thanks, Connie. I wasn't trying very hard to lose weight. Just being careful not to eat too many carbs.

My third daughter has two cats that are sweet. I wouldn't mind watching them but they live in the Philadelphia area. I do value my sleep though! :-)

  4. Hope that arm gets to feeling better Gina. I love your journal. I have a planner that I use to keep track of all my doings and sometimes even with it, I forget things.:)

    1. It is better, Arlene, I'm trying to do the exercises slowly so not to injure it further. I'm with you on memory - my long term is great but my short term is iffy.
