Books, Hot Cocoa, and More

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ~Charles W. Eliot

Today, I spent a glorious morning (2 plus hours!) sitting in Barnes and Noble with a big stack of books and magazines. Add a grande hot chocolate and a homemade (mine) muffin and I'm in a literary paradise. My sweet husband had a photography club meeting and I was very content to spend time all by my lonesome. Though is anyone ever really alone when one can read any number of wondrous books?

I stumbled upon this Rustic Wedding magazine and spent a long time looking at beautiful photographs of woodsy nuptials. Absolutely gorgeous!  If we ever decide to renew our vows, I know what kind of renewal/wedding I want!

Two hours is never enough time to spend in Barnes and Noble!

How are you today?

  1. What a wonderful way to spend two hours today, Gina! I spent my day giving our bedroom a good thorough cleaning and putting away the winter decor and changed it up a bit for spring. Who cares if it is supposed to snow tonight, right? :)

And no...we are never alone if we have a book to read!

    1. Dianna, I hope it didn't snow too much. Spring will be here soon. Great work getting all ready to decorate. I've a few things out and more to do.

  6. I love magazines...I don't buy them very often any more because they are so expensive but they sure are beautiful to look at. I read your Sunday post too and I love the words to that hymn. Thank you so much for your prayers dear one. Hugs, Diane

    1. Diane, I do subscribe to a few. Sometimes Amazon has deals on magazines and I grab those! I love that Barnes and Noble allows patrons to sit and read their magazines/books without buying them. Still praying for you and your husband!

    1. Me too, Connie. Some of those magazines are so expensive! Sometimes I take pictures with my phone of interesting ideas in the magazines. I'm cheap! :-)
