Sweet Dreams

And if tonight
my soul may find
her peace in sleep,
and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake
like a new-opened flower
then I have been dipped again
in God, and new-created.
~D.H. Lawrence

I confess that I am exhausted.

My day was filled with going for a long walk, grooming Little Bear, cleaning house, and making dinner. My body is just bone tired. I had hoped to post more but I am off to bed (and it isn't even 8 o'clock yet). Sweet Dreams!

  1. You had quite a busy day, my friend! I am not able to do that anymore...some days, with the fibromyalgia I do good to get one room cleaned. But I have learned to pace myself and be able to do a variety of things in a day's time...especially if they aren't all work related. :) Take care. Trusting you will wake up refreshed in the morning.xo

    1. Dianna, I forget my age and do too much (usually). I am still tired today and getting very little done. I need to pace myself as you say. xo

  3. I used to say that little prayer every night when I was a child, 'Now I lay me down to sleep'.....and at the end would bless everyone I knew! This brings back fond memories! You had a busy day today. I am finding that now I am in my 60's that I do run out of energy sooner than I expect and sometimes it is frustrating when there is so much to be done. I suppose it will all be there in the morning :) Sleep well, my friend. Hugs xo Karen

    1. Karen, I need to pace myself better. I do too much and the next day, I'm not much good. So silly that I forget about that when I'm feeling good and then get to work. Yes, work is always waiting for us!

  5. Dear Gina,

I hope you had a nice, refreshing sleep! It sounds like you had a really busy day. Housework wears me out more than gardening!

    Love,

    1. I agree, Marqueta. I think the fresh air refreshes my body (and spirit!)

  6. I've been feeling the same, but I think it's the effects of the virus/flu I've had. Just got some antibiotics yesterday so hoping to get to feeling better soon! Take it easy and have a wonderful day!

    Blessings,
    Jill

    1. I'm glad that you got some antibiotics, Jill. I need to rehydrate today and rest. I think the huge change in the temperature/humidity is rough on me.

  7. Busy days can really just wear you out! Love those long walks, nothing like fresh air and sunshine for the body :)

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
