Farewell to Easter Decor

Taking down holiday decorations is always a little sad.  But it needs to be done.

I've gathered the Easter baskets, wooden eggs, chicks, and most of the bunnies and they are waiting to be put away. The more spring-ish garden bunnies are allowed to stay at least until summer.

On a lighter note, the sun shone today!  We have had such gray days with so much rain for the last several days.  The ground is so soggy and ready to dry out.  Thankfully, the garden is quite resilient and determined to grow in spite of April's torrential showers.

Have you put your holiday decor away?  Did the sun shine?

  1. Hello Gina...
I just drafted a post today about my Easter decor being packed away.
Life goes so quickly, doesn't it?
And yes. We had intermittent sun today. : )
    Have a cozy evening!

  2. I'm usually on the ball about taking down my seasonal decor, but I still have Easter up, Gina. I'm having two ladies over for lunch and tea tomorrow, and I don't think they'll mind. Most of it is Spring-y looking anyway. It seems that the older I get, the less I mind about these sorts of things.

    1. Kitty, I hear you. I used to take it all down and put it neatly away all at once. I've gathered it all together, taken it upstairs, but not put it in the boxes it should be in. Maybe tomorrow.

  3. I started taking it down just before we got the news of my hubby's fathers passing, since we had to go out of state for that it didn't get finished and I have had more pressing things to do since getting back but hopefully this weekend since it is suppose to rain the whole time and I am finished with all the washing :) Enjoy your sunshine!
