The Lovely Days of Spring

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden. ~Ruth Stout

The greeness of the spring is upon us. Little touches of yellow and pink are evident in the budding flowers.

Dawn arrives earlier each morning to softly chase away all the sleepiness.

On the other hand, dusk is in no hurry to arrive and bid the day good night.

Evening whispers to turn down the sheets and climb into bed.

These lovely days of spring are to be treasured.

  2. Spring weather does not last long in my area. I take advantage as best as I can.

    1. Chrissy, last summer was extremely hot. I'm hoping for a milder one this year ~ a continuation of spring would be nice.

    2. Indeed it would be nice. Our summer last year was awful. It is already really warm here. I had a bad spell in the heat last year. It was more than heat exhaustion but not quite a heat stroke. I was told I may never fully be the same in heat. I can already vouch.

  3. I agree, spring brings so many wonderful things, having everything turn green is just so pretty, before the hot stuff comes and dries everything up.

    1. Connie, let's hope it rains periodically during the summer to keep it all green!

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
