Tired but Happy

I am exhausted!  In fact, I think I will be in bed before 8 pm.  I'm desperately trying to stay awake until then.

Today I had the joyful opportunity of taking care of baby Sam for several hours while my daughter slept.  Who would have thought that snuggling a sweet baby would be so exhausting?  He drifted off to dreamland after some quality lullaby time.  I put him in his little bed and had time for a cup of coffee before he awoke and needed to be changed.  A little more rocking and singing and he was down for the count.

I am tired but very very happy.  I could get used to this! ♥

    1. Arlene, I almost nodded off but I was afraid that if I fell asleep, he might wake up. :-)

  7. How wonderful to have that special time with your new grandson! I am playing catch-up, backwards, lol... when I visited last you weren't cooking because you were afraid you might start something and have to leave to be with your daughter for baby Sam's delivery, lol! So happy all is well :)

  8. That's what is great about being a grandma, have those nice cuddle times and then let momma have them back so you can go to bed early :)

    1. Connie, I do not have the stamina any more for every 2 to 3 hour feedings. I can't believe I ever did. At this age, I need my beauty sleep! xo

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
