Delightfully Delicious

Saturday evening and all is well. It has been a busy day.  My second daughter is in town for just a few days. She's meeting Baby Sam and spending time with all of us. ♥

We started off the morning at Starbucks for a cup of cocoa and a bagel.  Off to the big city to hit all the hobby shops ~ Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Joann's.  Our next stop was Barnes and Noble where we met our daughter.  We enjoyed a nice chat until it was time to head to the restaurant.  We were all meeting my eldest daughter, my son-in-law, and Baby Sam.  Everything was delicious and rather than eat my lunch, I went straight for dessert = holding little Sam while my daughter ate.  It wasn't long before he was fast asleep in my arms.  I asked for to go boxes to put my meal in to eat later.  Sadly, it was time to leave (and I had to give Sam back....). Home again and time for a short nap.  We'd been gone 5 hours and I needed a time of refreshment.

Dinner was very tasty ~ it was my lunch ~ a garden salad with blue cheese dressing and a steak.  I finished it off with a double chocolate Magnum ice cream bar.

Needless to say, it has been a delightfully delicious day!  How was your Saturday? xo

  1. It does sound as if you have had the most "delightfully delicious" day, Gina. How wonderful you were able to meet with your family and catch up. It is such a pity you had to give baby Sam back.

    1. Kim, yes, it is tragic. Though I think when he became hungry, I would be in a predicament! :-)

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
