Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, & Ruth

It's another late night for me tonight.  We just returned home from the bbq.

There was so much delicious food ~ hamburgers, hot dogs, various salads, dips, and desserts. My cookies were a hit (whew!).

After spending time and reading the book of Ruth this week, what spoke to me was how Naomi must have truly loved God and exhibited His character for Ruth to want to leave everything and follow Naomi and her God. Their faithfulness to God and each other is such a wonderful example to all of us.

It's past my bedtime and it's to bed I go.  Sweet Dreams! ♥

  2. Sounds like a wonderful time at the BBQ! Your cookies look delicious :) And I do so love Ruth, what an amazing example Naomi is for us to follow... her love for the Lord lived out in such a way as to convince Ruth to find out and serve the Lord because of it. Blessings and hugs to you today :)

    1. Marilyn, I hope that I grown in wisdom as Naomi surely did. And I hope that I am a good listener as Ruth was. xo

That is a great sum up of Ruth and we should all follow her lead to do our very best to be Christ like and be a great example to the next generation

    1. Connie, it is a bit scary to think we are examples to the next generation. I hope that my grands only see the good in me and not the not so good. xo
