Signs of Summer

It is hard to believe that today is the first day of summer.  It seems like it was just spring yesterday... Time for hot lazy summer days and sticky nights.  Time for ice cream cones and watermelon.  Time for reading books on the back porch, barefoot, and sipping an ice cold drink.

Today has been a better day.  Not terrific but better than yesterday.  I am encouraged that the side effects will be but a memory until next year when it's time for the infusion again.  I can deal with two or three days of feeling ill if my bones are healthier and stronger.

I am eager to be back 100% as I have a To Do list as long as my arm. Nothing really needs to be done but I've lots of things that I'd like to do.  I'd like to get back to my crochet projects,  baking, and gardening.  Little by little...

Happy First Day of Summer to you!

  1. Hi Gina!

I'm glad to hear that you are doing better today . . . :0) It's never fun to be under the weather, especially when it's warm and sunny outside, and it's the first day of summer! And yes, we all get older don't we . . . but we don't want broken bones! I hope you are feeling like yourself by the week-end sweet friend.

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  2. It is hard to believe this is the first day of summer when Hobby Lobby has fall and most of Christmas decor out this week. So glad you are feeling a bit better.

    1. Kim, I love our screened in back porch. My husband likes to sleep out there sometimes but it's too noisy for me (crickets, frogs, etc!)

  5. Hi Gina, glad you are feeling better - and good for you for taking care of your health! If you are like me, you are sensitive to all drugs and can feel really awful side effects. I had a Tdap vaccine update for Pertussis, Diphtheria and Tetanus recently and I was so ill from it. I couldn't even get up and walk across the floor for a whole day. It's the most awful feeling and I am so sorry you are experiencing this. Sending you hugs xo Karen

    1. Karen, you poor thing! I'm not keen on medications but when we have to we have to. I'm on the mend, thankfully. xo
