Sunday Smiles

Sunday evening and I am having a hard time staying awake.  I had a cup of coffee at 7:30 pm but it hasn't kicked in yet.  It's 9:00 pm and I am drifting off.

We had a wonderful Sunday dinner with family = 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law, and the guest of honor.... Baby Sam!  I made spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad.  We even had apple pie for dessert.

Sam is smiling now!  He is almost 5 weeks old ~ the time is just flying by!  Thankfully, he still wants to snuggle with nana.  I hope that doesn't change for a long long time!

Sleep tight and sweet dreams!

  1. I was catching up on all your posts while I was away....like you, as I age I am learning to accept myself for who I am and that is very good for this people pleasing mama. Your BBQ sounded so fun and who would not give up food to hole a five week old bundle of love?? That food will keep!!:)

    1. Absolutely, Arlene. During our Sunday dinner, my husband held Sam while I ate and then I held him while he ate. The perfect evening! xo

    1. Connie, they melt my heart. He doesn't look like a newborn anymore. He looks like a baby with little chubby cheeks!

We all have our “good old days” tucked away inside our hearts, and we return to them in dreams like cats to favorite armchairs. ~ B. Carter
