Yet Another Food Post

This is my third post about food this week.  Watching what I eat and doing my best to eat less than I usually do has made me a little bit food obsessive.  I've been looking up either online or in this WW Points book how many points every food I can think of is.  Even food I most likely won't even eat...

For instance...

One Dunkin Donut Munchkin hole is 3 WW points.

Three points may not seem like a lot but when you are only allowed 30 points a day, three WW points is a lot.  No munchkins for me.

My husband has offered to take me to dinner and after looking at my book, we went to  Chick-fil-a.  Not exactly a romantic dinner but there were healthy options with minimum WW point damage.  I was extra careful to save up my points until dinnertime.

Breakfast

3 WW points - Light Yogurt - 6 oz
2 WW points - Coffee with tiny bit of Sugar and Milk

Snack

0 WW points - Apple

Lunch

2 WW points - Hard Boiled Egg
0 WW points - Raw Carrots

Snack

3 WW points - Light Yogurt - 6 oz
2 WW points - Coffee with tiny bit of Sugar and Milk

Dinner

8 WW points - Chick-fil-a Chicken Wrap
8 WW points - Small Waffle Fries (most of them)
2 WW points - Coffee with tiny bit of Sugar and Milk

I hit the 30 WW points on the dot but I honestly was hungry most of the day.

Most days, I can add more WW points during the day and less at dinnertime and I'm not quite so hungry.  It's good that I like eating at home better than eating out anyway.

Except.... this Sunday is Baby Sam's dedication at church and lots of family coming.  After church, we are going out to eat and that will surely cost me a day's worth of WW points.  Thankfully, there are an extra 28 WW points allowed each week in addition to the 30 a day.

*I know 6 WW points a day for coffee may seem like a lot but if I don't have my coffee...  things would get REAL ugly REAL fast. ♥

  1. I am in my 5th week. I love WW. I learned real quick to make my meals count so I am not hungry. Fruit and veggies are good to havw on hand. Pinterest has a pin for an article on Fast Food/restaurant Help. It is awesome.

    1. Thanks for the tip, Chrissy. I do have book with restaurant ideas/points etc. This Sunday will not be a fast food type for lunch. I'll let you know how it goes.

  2. I'm not familiar with the points but it sure doesn't look like you ate much in a whole day. Do you have plenty of strength and energy? Take care of yourself! I eat a LOT of protein and organic veggies...and nuts. But I don't eat much bread or carbs and no sugar at all. (I'm allergic to sugar) I have found my groove and my weight doesn't vary any more. I weigh every day and I stay the same. I hope you find what works for you. MOST important to be healthy and strong...and beautiful. Lots of hugs, Diane

    1. Diane, I am trying not to eat many carbs (except fruit). Some protein but not too much more than usual. I feel a bit better today as I've spread my points out better. Saving most of them until dinner is not worth it. xx

  3. I am lucky I don't care for coffee, I drink unsweetened tea, luckily I can't stand sugar in my tea :) Have you heard of the Daniel plan, it is bible based eating plan, I lost 60 pounds on it when I stuck to it, but then we went on vacation and ate out every meal and it was so hard when we got back after a week to stick to it but we are gradually going back to it and I have lost another 3 pounds this past week.

    1. I'm the opposite, Connie. I don't care for tea except for herbal tea. I am vaguely familiar with the Daniel plan. I'll google it to find out more. Congratulations on your weight loss. That is GREAT! xx

  5. Hi Gina!

You are doing great!! When you are on WW you really do become a bit obsessed with food... ;0) That's okay.

I love Chik-fil-a! My obsession is probably not on you WW list, but sometime you must try the, Frosted Lemonade, yum!

Good work on working hard, sweet friend!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

    1. Barb, I've not tasted the Frosted Lemonade but it sounds delicious! I like Chick-fil-a because it tastes healthier than other fast food places and you still feel good after you it it. Hugs & Love!
