Moments at the Inn

I love this photograph that my husband took of the Inn.  The little white picket fence surrounds the front & side yard.  If you go out the gate and down a few steps, you will see this quaint water wheel.  Yes, it does work.  If you walk down more steps, you come to the brick patio and the fire pit.  Around the fire pit are very comfortable chairs and settees.  Each night at dusk, the fire pit is lit and burns until 10 o'clock.

We loved sitting around the fire pit.  The heat from the fire kept us warm in the crisp evenings.  One night, we had the fire pit all to ourselves.  Another night, we shared it with a very nice young couple. We sat and chatted for over an hour before turning in for the evening.

Aren't the Smoky Mountains beautiful?
