O Wind A-Blowing

I have always loved Robert Louis Stevenson.  His poems and stories are so vibrant and descriptive.  I don't think I could choose a favorite if asked.

Our autumn weather has been quite blustery lately. Rains, wind, and cold! The temperatures were in the low 20's this morning when we woke up. Thankfully, over the weekend, I changed the bedding to the warmer quilts.  We were snug as a bug asleep as the cold autumn winds were a-blowing last night.

Are you enjoying this autumn weather?

  1. I do enjoy autumn weather, but the wind we had last night and today was a bit over the top. :) I am loving this time of year otherwise.

    1. Dianna, we had the bitter cold weather for only a day or two and it's now back to the 60's. I hope you warm up too!

  2. Hi Gina!

I do enjoy Autumn weather...rain, wind, cold and snow! It's funny how my whole mind-set changes when the cold sets in. I'm wanting to go to bed earlier, crochet more, eat more soup, bake more bread...all the cozy things. Yes, I love Autumn!

    Hugs and Love,

    1. Barb, can I live with you? Sleep, crochet, soup, bread, and cozy is what I love best! xo

  3. The seasons change so suddenly sometimes, especially this time of year. One day it is almost warm as summer and the next the cold wind brings snow. I am always in denial until that first frost hits, but I do love warm sweaters, hot chocolate (sugar free), and reading under warm, cozy quilts. Sending hugs xo Karen

  4. We finally broke out the winter linens as well Gina. However, I think it is going to be warm again today. Well that is autumn in the south for you.

    1. Arlene, I haven't put on the flannel sheets yet just in case. I don't mind the warmer temperatures during the day.

  5. Well it hasn't gotten down that far but we have reached the frozen mark twice and have a bit of frost a couple mornings, the wind was quite strong yesterday so it made for a very chilly day in the 40's

  7. I too love to revisit the stories and poems of Robert Louis Stevenson. My, it is beginning to get a little chilly over there. How nice to snuggle under heavy quilts.

    1. Kim, my flowers are not enjoying this chilly weather as much as I am. I plan to reassure them that spring will return before they know it. ♥
