The Silver Lining

Tonight's post will be short.  I've been feeling under the weather these last few days with a terrible sore throat.

A visit to the doctor was in order. Thankfully I don't have strep throat.  Evidently there is a nasty virus going around and most likely this is what I have. The nurse told me she just got over this virus where (in her words) your throat feels like you've been swallowing razor blades. Oh bother.

The silver lining to my dark sick cloud is that when I was weighed at the doctor's office, I weigh less with all my clothes and shoes on than I used to weigh with nothing on!  I think I was even holding my purse! I've been sticking with the Weight Watcher diet and I'm pleased to report that I've lost almost 15 lbs in a little over 5 weeks. My clothes are definitely looser and that is such a good feeling.

I'm off to bed and hopefully a good night's sleep.

    1. Barb, I think the flu has progressed farther but I know by next week, I'll be fine. The up side is that I probably will lose more weight as I don't have an appetite. xx
