A Slow Going Kind of Day

Today is a slow going kind of day.  It wasn't planned that way.  I had hopes of going to church and working outside.

Nope. This morning, as I leaned down to pick up Lilah Rose ~ OUCH! ~ my lower back spasmed and pinched.  Oh bother! I think a week of traveling long hours in the car and picking up grandchildren did a number on my back.

So today, I stayed home and rested.  The heating pad has been running on high for most of the day.  I am hoping my back will be better tomorrow.  I'd rather not go to the doctor until I absolutely have to.  I know I have a herniated disc in my lower back but, in the past, a few days of rest usually eases the pain.

I have been negligent with my yoga.  There is no good excuse even though I tell myself that I've been chasing a puppy the last few months.  Still, lesson learned.

  1. Hoping you find relief Gina....your Thanksgiving sounds wonderful. We only drove three hours so I know ten hours in the car was a lot for you and Mr R.

  2. Hi Gina!

Ouch! Nothing worse than an achy back...I hope it gets better really soon. It sounds like you had such a great time with your daughter and her family. I have never been a, Black Friday shopper, it's just too crazy in the big city...too many crazy people where I live! Although I know you can get some amazing deals - you need to show us a photo of you cute new boots!!

Glad you made it home safe and sound, now get better quickly, sweet friend!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

    1. Thank you, Kim. I did some laundry today and worked a little bit on decorating. Tomorrow, I have errands to run but I am sure to rest in between.

  6. Sorry to hear about your back, I so understand, mine will go out on me if I get in the car wrong. I have tried the pad with Lidocaine, that has been a lifesaver for me. Hope you feel better very soon!

    1. Connie, I went out and bought some of those Lidocaine patches. I haven't used it yet but I'm ready when I need it next time. Thank you for the recommendation!
