Home Once Again

'Tis the end of Thanksgiving week and we are home once again.

We had a wonderful time at my daughter & son-in-law's house. My week was filled with lots of hugs and laughter with the grandchildren.

Though we drove to and fro, we chose off hours to travel and thankfully didn't have to deal with too much holiday traffic.  Still, the drive was close to 10 hours each way and we are simply worn out!

What fun I had baking, helping with chores, and shopping with my daughter.  Working together we got everything done and then some.

She and I went Black Friday shopping at 6 am on Friday. We hit Kohs's and the big mall. I found 2 sweet shirts for Hannah at Kohl's (normally $28 total but with my coupons etc, I only spent $2)!! At the mall, I found a pair of Minnie Mouse slippers for Christmas for Hannah. She loves Minnie Mouse! I even found a pair of boots for myself at Macy's! The shoe department there was crazy with only 3 employees in that department. I would guess that there were 30+ customers waiting to try on shoes. I saw a cute pair of boots on the shelf, tried them on, and they fit perfectly!  I couldn't believe it! I thought I'd have to ask for a different size but these fit like a glove. All the boots were on sale 40% off. The boots would have been $49.99 but with the sale price I only paid $19.99. I am thrilled! I forgot to take a picture to post.  They are brown lace up ankle boots. ♥

I hope to feel more like myself tomorrow and will be visiting everyone's blog very soon. xx

  1. Goodness, travelling 10 hours there and back is a very long drive, but it sounds as if you had the most wonderful with your family, Gina. How fortuitous you happened upon those bargains. Your lace-up ankle boots sound rather chic.

    1. Elizabeth, traveling is tiring. I think next time we will fly instead of drive.

    1. Connie, my sweet husband did all the driving. He said he wouldn't rest if I drove. :-)
