Embracing the Familiar

I honestly can’t remember when I stopped writing. I believe it was some time last February. This time away has been everything that I needed. I return rested, refreshed, and ready to write.

If I were to sum up the last five months in catchphrases (in no particular order), they would be:

nana ♥ littles

my secret garden

walks in the woods

computer woes

holiday at the lake

lilah rose ♥

healthy obsessions

summer sensibility

And with these, I shall leave you with no explanation until tomorrow.  I am so blessed with life, love, faith, family, friends, and health.  All more than I could imagine or deserve.  To God be the glory.

  1. There you ARE sweet friend! I'm so happy to have your back in blogland. Thank you so much for the beautiful card you sent me this summer too. What a precious friend you are. Can wait to hear more about those healthy obsessions! heehee! Hugs and hugs, Diane

  2. You are very welcome, Diane. Today's post is a bit off topic. Puppies do that to me. ♥

    1. Thank you, Connie. It is good to be back!

But oh! the blessing it is to have a friend to whom one can speak fearlessly on any subject; with whom one's deepest as well as one's most foolish thoughts come out simply and safely. Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~Dinah Maria Craik, A Life for a Life, "Chapter XVI: Her Story," 1859
