With Gratitude

After a long weekend of preparing for our holiday away, I am taking it easy today.  Tomorrow will be a day of traveling and then I'll enjoy a blissfully crazy week of grandchildren!  I wish I could bottle even a tiny bit of their energy and take a spoonful each day.

Continued prayers for Lilah Rose would be greatly appreciated.  She is still struggling with tummy issues and my husband is staying home as we can not border her while she is sick.  He insisted I still go up north.  He plans to be up north on business soon and will visit them then.

Sandy to the Rescue - and Walmart Experiment

Happy Day!  With Sandy's help, I think I've remedied my Blogger stay sign in problems.  I was so frustrated with it not working and especially sad that I couldn't comment on my dear friends' blogs.  I will head over there right after posting this.

It has been another cold rainy day here. I did venture out to - gasp - Walmart! I very rarely go to Walmart as it is farther than my other grocery stores (next county). I am pleased to report that it wasn't as sketchy as it was last time I went. Last time, it had a really strong seedy theater smell to it. Yikes!  Today, no such smell. Maybe last time they had just cleaned it with a weird solution?

Cupcakes and a Chat!

Last Thursday, I met one of my friends at the local bakery for a cupcake and a chat.  I just love the decor in this little bakery!  I have posted about it before. You can see the pictures HERE.

The decor isn't the only wonderful thing about this bakery - the chocolate chocolate cupcakes are scrumptious.  I eat one every time I visit.  There are other flavors of cupcakes and cookies and cakes etc.  But I just stick with what I know because I don't think it can get better!

Do you have a favorite bakery that you visit?

Trader Joe's Wonderland

On Monday, my friend Bonnie and I went into the big city to have lunch and shop at Trader Joe's. We visited a few little shops before we ate our lunch at a new soup and salad restaurant.  I had a Cobb salad wrap that was very good and very filling.  I ate half for lunch and saved the other half for dinner.

Next, we went to Trader Joe's.  Now I think I had been to TJ once in my life years ago in New Jersey.  This was practically a new experience.
