Cupcakes and a Chat!

Last Thursday, I met one of my friends at the local bakery for a cupcake and a chat.  I just love the decor in this little bakery!  I have posted about it before. You can see the pictures HERE.

The decor isn't the only wonderful thing about this bakery - the chocolate chocolate cupcakes are scrumptious.  I eat one every time I visit.  There are other flavors of cupcakes and cookies and cakes etc.  But I just stick with what I know because I don't think it can get better!

Do you have a favorite bakery that you visit?

  1. YuM! I haven't even had breakfast yet, but a chocolate cupcake sounds scrumptious!!
That bakery is darling. What a fun place to visit.

Nope ... we don't have anyplace like that in our tiny hamlet. There is great place like that we enjoy going to, though it is about 70 miles away.

    Have a happy day.

    1. My bakery isn't too close, Kerin. I'm not sure how far exactly but it takes about 20 minutes to get there. Worth every bite! :-)

  2. Hi Gina~

Nothing better than chatting over a yummy cupcake! We have a bakery in our little town that has been here for ages, Carsten's. They made my wedding cake, 45 years ago, and it was delicious! I love to go there and have a cream puff, my favorite. You used to be able to go to the grocery store bakery and buy a cream puff, but they don't make things like that anymore. Everything is shipped frozen and they just thaw it out...so sad!

Have a great week, sweet Gina!

    Hugs and Love.

  4. We have a favorite bakery in the town we grew up in but where we live now we don't have one we like. The farm not to far from us does make some awesome pies.

But oh! the blessing it is to have a friend to whom one can speak fearlessly on any subject; with whom one's deepest as well as one's most foolish thoughts come out simply and safely. Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~Dinah Maria Craik, A Life for a Life, "Chapter XVI: Her Story," 1859
