The Beauty of the Home is Order

As we consider putting our house on the market, we are working on bringing order to our belongings.   I am learning that less is more.

  1. I love this image, Gina! I'm sure you are learning many things as you pack up to move back North. I have been thinking of you and praying for you.

  2. It is always an opportunity to go through one's stuff and getting rid of things when moving house. It is amazing the things we gather in life, isn't it. I hope you find the decluttering a'not-too-hard task to do. Thinking of you♥

    1. Kim, sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming going through everything but I tell myself that if I do a little each day, I'll get there! ♥

  3. We use to move every 4 years so that kept things down to a minimum but now that we have lived in this house for almost 14 years, I can't imagine moving right now.

    1. Connie, was your family in the military? That's rough moving every 4 years!

But oh! the blessing it is to have a friend to whom one can speak fearlessly on any subject; with whom one's deepest as well as one's most foolish thoughts come out simply and safely. Oh, the comfort — the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person — having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away. ~Dinah Maria Craik, A Life for a Life, "Chapter XVI: Her Story," 1859
